Duties |
To carry out development and qualification
tasks on mechanical and electronic products.
Performing Electrical, Mechanical and Life
tests on motors and associated control electronics. Designing
specific tests for customer criteria of mechanical, pneumatic and
hydraulic systems.
Ability to faultfind test equipment and test
rigs. Writing of Technical documentation, Involvement in the design
process, working with engineers from other departments Ability to
lead a small team of Engineers, perform 6 sigma assessment for
various test processes |

Experience |
Must be self-sufficient and largely self-motivated. Ability to
communicate clearly through written and verbal means to all levels
of staff e.g. reports, interact with other Engineering teams. Broad
Development / certification knowledge and experience e.g. thorough
understanding of all aspects of Development Engineering including
Compliance Verification, Technical Risk, compilation of technical
documentation, use of instrumentation |

Qualifications |
An electrical biased degree with some mechanical experience is
desirable. Ratio is approximately. 70% electrical / 30% mechanical
bias or equivalent |

Responsible for the
review and design of updates of existing
electrical control systems, and the
design and preparation of dedicated
solutions from first concept to
completion.
You will also be
required to check and approve existing
electrical circuits and the transfer of
these into working drawings for site
installation.
A good knowledge of
control circuit design with some PLC
programming skills is essential, though
training will be provided. Knowledge of
combustion control and heating control
systems would be an advantage as well as
the ability to use AutoCAD LT. |

experience in circuit design and fault

Duties |
To take responsibility for the new
design and maintenance of digital and
analogue board-level circuitry and PCB
assemblies.
To meet the specification requirements
for designs and to demonstrate this by
design analysis reports and records
along with providing technical guidance
to other engineers. To understand the
interfaces between analogue and digital
circuitry and external systems
Carry out effective troubleshooting,
identify alternative components to
suggest improvements to suppliers and
perform the necessary analysis and
testing in order to verify and
demonstrate correct circuit
performance. This includes Worst-Case
analysis, steady-state and transient
thermal, etc, preparing reports and
release documents as required.

Experience |
Knowledge of Cadence Concept (schematic
capture), PSPICE (circuit simulation),
Saber (circuit simulation), Mathcad,
Simulink, Matlab, DOORS and an
understanding of electrical generator
operation beneficial |

Qualifications |
Qualified to degree level / equivalent
coupled with practical experience of
analogue, digital, or mixed-signal BOARD
LEVEL design for embedded applications.
Experience in electronics design for
harsh environments (extreme
temperatures, vibration levels, etc.) |
