A large established company, involved
in the provision and service of heavy industrial rotating
machinery, are looking for a Mechanical / Hydraulic Design
Engineer with a desire to work with a team of engineers developing
products for a variety of applications.
Your duties will include the mechanical and hydraulic
design of applications for use on Diesel and Gas prime movers, in
accordance with API standards in the oil and gas industries, and
to be involved in the design verification processes applicable to
mechanical and hydraulic design including as appropriate finite
element analysis and fluid dynamics. |
| Experience |
CAD skills (3D models
preferred), and knowledge of bearing systems and, or, finite element
analysis would be an advantage. |
| Qualifications |
degree in a suitable and
relevant discipline, and experience in a similar industry. |

research and implement technical solutions for the companys clients.
Some Project management experience would be highly beneficial.

ideal candidate will have an indentured apprenticeship,
qualification or equivalent engineering experience, and familiarity

“Ensures that production
equipment is maintained to the necessary service level, and liase
with R+D and production staffs to provide production engineering
support on electro-mechanical and electronic product.”
Your duties will include maintaining
production equipment used in manufacture of electronic controls
including power operated hand tools, welders, impact presses and
semi automatic assembly benches, and production Test gear.
You will be required to produce and maintain a preventative
maintenance program for production equipment including maintaining
calibration records and work instruction files.
Design packaging product
labels on in-house printing machines, design, build and modify
production jigs and fixtures using external suppliers as
necessary. Maintain
COSHH register and processes relating to their use.:p> |
| Experience |
A
large and established company based near Hendon require and
experienced technician who can demonstrate the desire to succeed.
The ability to work with and follow
electrical/electronic circuit diagrams to a basic level, and read /
follow mechanical engineering drawings is essential.
You will also be competent in wiring jigs and fixtures and
fault finding electrical circuits on jigs and fixtures.
Demonstrate safety at work skills when using workshop
machinery such as lathes, vertical mills, horizontal mills, circular
saws, pillar drills, and have a good foundation in Microsoft office
package, Word, Excel to basic level. |
| Qualifications |
Ideally
you will have a formal qualification in an electrical/mechanical
trade skill, but relevant experience in a similar environment
is equally suitable, to have experience in a medium to high volume
electro-mechanical assembly environment would be an advantage. |
